SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG BY DECEMBER 25 TO BENEFIT THE VERMONT FOODBANK!

I became interested in the Vermont Foodbank when I first moved from the District of Columbia to South Burlington. Unlike the food distribution organizations in other places I’ve lived, the Vermont Foodbank treats feeding people as a privilege, not just a responsibility.

Two years ago, under the energetic directorship of John Sayles, the organization branched out to become farmers in addition to distributors and fundraisers because John and his staff realized the necessity for more fresh fruit and vegetables in their program. Now, with the crops produced on the Kingsbury Farm in Waitsfield, Vermont, in the Mad River Valley, the organization can be proud of the fresh produce they provide.

I feel very grateful that I can help support the food distribution program provided by the Vermont Foodbank and hope you will join me in helping them continue the work they do, providing healthy food to those who are struggling to maintain a hunger-free existence. For each new subscription to my blog from now through December 25, In the Kitchen with Bronwyn will donate $2 to the Vermont Foodbank. Two dollars will provide 12 holiday meals to our Vermont neighbors in need.
